
Briefing
The briefing is used to provide a full and firm foundation for the initiation of the project. It needs to be reviewed and approved before the project kick-off. The following items need to be produced: a) Background and project statement and b) Project objectives and success metrics.

Discovery
The discovery phase is an intensive research stage at the beginning of every project to define the scope of work. Communication, research, and analysis help to solidify the goal and define the direction of the development process. They are needed to identify and tackle potential roadblocks and risks.

Develop
This is the phase where the plan defined in the prior phases of this process is put in action. The project team develops the deliverables, and the following activities will be under control: time and cost management, quality management, change management and risk management.
